the classes exposed in the templates are called facades, and they wrap around 
the model elements loaded from the service, thereby providing a service layer 
to them, you might call it an API

unfortunately the javadocs only show the handleXXX methods which are called by 
the xxx methods, but we're going to fix that so only the interfaces will be 
listed
