BTW, I found teh problem and will see if it also exist in 3.1RC1. When I looked at Velocity log file I found that its engine (Jelly) didn't like teh fact that the "namer" and "id" of the J2EE application are the same. I tried different names and it worked. I didn't have this problem in teh previous version.
