Hey, again: No, no, I was just being a pain in the ass...
Ayn Rand did not enjoy being compared to Nietsche, and strictly speaking she was a proponent of Rational Egoism ("Objectivism," as she named it.) One of Nietsche's greatest works was the _very_ deep and heavy "Also Spracht Zarathustra," which I'm sure is on Tyr's "must read" shelf. ;) The instrumental to which you referred was a piece by Wagner, who was a strong believer in Nietsche's concepts - and of course Hitler went on to pretty much ruin them both for the rest of the world for all time... Just one more of his legacies - badly misinterpreting a genius to suit his own despicable ends. Anyway, sorry for the confusing post, Bye for now, Dave P.S. I wonder what else would be on Tyr's must read shelf ... it could be a good discussion thread! ===== ---------------------------------------------------------- ...All the busy little creatures Chasing out their destinies Living in the pools, They soon forget about the sea... -Neil Peart, 'Natural Science' ---------------------------------------------------------- __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
