Dear All, The debates regarding the Preah Vihear issue have attracted three eminent personalities so far, ie. Mr. Norbert Klein, Ambassador Julio A. Jeldres and last but not least, Prince Sisowath Thomico. These eminent people have weighed in with their educated and thoughtful comments. Mr. Klein seems to take a view that, because of the 2008 Joint Communique, the areas surrounding Preah Vihear can be claimed by Thailand. Ambassador Julio Jeldres and Prince Thomico as well as Khmerization have based their arguments on other internationally-recognised treaties/conventions to prove that Preah Vihear and the lands surrounding it belong to Cambodia.
