well i've tried my wl110 under angstrom and it doesn't seem so easy:

perhaps we could try to follow this bug report:
http://bugs.openembedded.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2159

and try something like

"prism2_srec wlan0 -r /etc/pcmcia/rf010804.hex" will load firmware to RAM of 
card.

taking some files here:
http://linux.junsun.net/intersil-prism/firmware/1.4.9/

have to try...
