Real fix would require deeper insight into libtool and automake. Basically, libtool has a concept of installed (libraries already in correct place) and uninstalled libraries (libraries in a different place that there will be in the system). If it mistakenly gets a reference to uninstalled library marked as installed, it embeds its complete path and causes mentioned error. Even for correctly written package, the mechanism is not bullet-proof in case of compilation and sysroot and sometimes needs additional patches. The quick hack (edit it manually) will allow you to continue, but generated -dev package will be broken. You still have a good change, that all other things will work. ________________________________________________________________________ Stanislav Brabec http://www.penguin.cz/~utx/zaurus _______________________________________________ Angstrom-distro-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.linuxtogo.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/angstrom-distro-users
