Hi all, I need some help.
I try to get the opie image
Angstrom-opie-image-glibc-ipk-2007.12-r18-hx4700.rootfs.tar.gz running
on my hx4700.
My previous setup was winCE with HaRet and the image
zImage-2.6.21-hh20-r6-hx4700.bin on FAT and
the file system on ext2, both partitions on a 1 GB CF card.
this worked.
I thought changing to this new opie was a matter of cleaning out the
ext2 and untar the downloaded rootfs there.
but, booting now get a kernel panic, saying
" not syncing: devinet: Failed to create loopback"
I tried to find a linux kernel somewhere in the opie root fs (hoping I
could put that on the FAT partition just like the old kernel) but it seems
there is no linux kernel in the rootfs. just a broken link.
I'm fully aware I am not grasping the basics here, what am I doing wrong ?
