Hi.

I just subscribed to this list as I have this fairly old iPaq H5500 that I
decided to give a new life to by installing Linux on it. My first attempt
was to install Familiar Linux on it as this seems to be the easiest
distribution to locate. I tried the image that includes Opie and it worked
fairly well.

I then decided to try GPEand learned that GPE on Familiar Linux is quite
outdate and that, in fact, Familiar itself is also outdated. This is what
brought me to Angstrom.

I am having several problems with it tough. I tried the Opie image and it
installed but I could not get WiFi to work (among other problems). Then I
tried the GPE (X11) image and still didn~t have much luck.

Right now, I am seeing the following problems:

1 - Sometimes the touch screen does not respond to touch.
2 - WiFi is not not working (worked with Familiar).
3 - Battery seems not to be detected and when it is connected to power, it
also seems to not detect that.

I wonder if the problem is not the bootloader I am using (the one
suggested by Familiar). Should I use a different bootloader for Angstrom?
Is the fact that I am directly intalling the jff2 images to the internal
flash through a serial port relevant?

Thanks in advance.

-Bruno
