Hi,

There is a modified bootloader that can load a menu.lst, like grub, and
boot from different media. The bootloader looks for a file on a
CompactFlash card, but can then boot from SD. That's what mine's doing;
SD partition for Opie, SD partition for GPE, and boot from ROM just
incase All Hell Breaks Loose (c). It's been a while, but I believe that
the modified bootloader was made by kmeaw, and supports unmodified
hx4700 and RAM-upgraded models too. Shout if you need more info, I'll
fish through the backups.

Kind regards,

James A. Langbridge
