I've been trying to use the ImageBuilder to build a new ROM for my
Spitz. The program works fine, and I have figured out (I think I'm
correct in this) to remove the tarball from the bz2 file, then
compress it with gzip, and rename the result to hdimage1.tgz.
That done it flashes OK but I seem to have the wrong kernel. I just
used the zimage.bin from a recent installkit, the 2007.12.r13 version,
and I get complaints about
"Couldn't open /lib/modules/2.6.24 no such file or directory"
I'm assuming that I have the wrong kernel version.
1. How can I determine the kernel version of a zimage.bin file?
2. How can I determine the kernel image that narcissus expects?
3. I see versions 2.6.26 in the spitz download directory. Where are
older versions kept? I found 2.6.23 courtesy of the wayback machine,
but that didn't work either.
Thanks for the help!
Walt
