Dear all,
I have an ipaq hp2210. I am able to run test images ended with .exe
(executive ones from wince) but when I boot with haret to a root on sd card
in the middle of booting it hangs. i am able to boot to familiar.
Maybe it needs more ram. I have no serial cable so I cannot delete wince and
linux from begining.
Anybody can help me?
best.

I am able to get angstrom to work, no work is the wrong word, load on my
hp2210. You don't need to delete your wince installed. Go back to the
website and use the online image builder to build a "stable" image for
your ipaq. You should still be able to use the bootloader mentioned in
the manual or you can always follow the instructions for familiar to
place the image on an ext2 partition and boot using haret in the way
mentioned there.
To be honest, I'm done with Angstrom until it's more mature.
Functionality is hit and miss and you'll be hard pressed to make
anything that isn't working work with the level of documentation
currently provided. Considering your level of knowledge of Angstrom's
boot process which is about where mine was when I started, you're going
to find it impossible to cope with unless you're a developer that can
read, modify and create code, bitbake your own apps and MAKE them work
when they don't. But good luck to you.
