Ah, I had tried the menuconfig option previously, but nothing seemed to happen. On further review, I noticed that a gnome-terminal window is being spawned, and then closing a second or two later. This is under Ubuntu - Lucid. This appears to be a known issue ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/526437) and updating to lucid-proposed doesn't seem to fix it. While this seems to be more of an Ubuntu issue, I was wondering if anyone on the list has seen (and resolved) the same problem?
