At the same time that I ran into some other problems after doing an opkg upgrade, dropbear stopped loading at boot time. My normal method of working with my system is purely through an SSH console, so this was a fairly big issue for me.
I figured out that the problem was that there is now a /etc/default/dropbear file, where previously there was not one in the distribution. By simply removing (or renaming) the file I was able to get dropbear to start in the same manner that it had been before the upgrade.
