Hi,

Would like to run Angstrom on QEMU (ARM-EABI) in Windows. I already have
QEMU (0.13) on my Windows-XP host, and I am able to run Debian-Lenny ARM
image on it. The Debian Lenny image wasn't created by me, but downloaded
from the Debian site.

My goal is to attempt some software development and porting in this setup.
My final target board shall be either Beagleboard or mini2440, but given
some project considerations, not able to procure either at the moment, so
thought of ramping up skills on QEMU.

Attempts at using Narcissus to download a rootfs image, haven't been very
successful.
With following selections --
Machine-type: qemuarm
Complexity-of-options: advanced
Release: 2011.03
Base-System: Regular (task-base)
/dev manager: udev
Image type: jffs2
Software manifest: no
SDK type: none
User environment selection: Opie

either lead to Image not being generated at-all (i.e. all steps seem to go
thru) but finally it says that the image file wasn't found, or more often,
all Opie package builds are reported to have filed (I see the red cross
mark).

I have also attempted the same with SDK type: 'full SDK for generated
file-system', and it didn't succeed either (as I had come to expected).

What did succeed once was generation of a
'.tar.gz' image, with Release: stable, and User environment selection:
console.
However, I do need GUI.

Any clues on how to get out of this situation ?

thanks,
Mike
