I'm not experienced with hx4700 so I can't say anything about any advantage..
With kexecboot you can boot from any media which may be connected to
your hx4700 and supported by kernel.
Check http://kexecboot.org for details.

User alexxy on #kexecboot have hx4700. I'll ask him about his experience.
