It's a microSD card so there is no lock. In any case I can write to the card 
fine when it's mounted on my Linux desktop box. The Beaglebone boot only fails 
when I ask Narcissus for a systemd image and copy that to the SD card; if I do 
the same with the pre-built demo image it works fine.
