What it works for me was add this line into the target page. So I set the
following 2 lines in plain javascript at the end of my controller:
//HACK: Use to kill the modal black layer that left bootstrap (1 hour
trying to fix it)
var someNode;
if (someNode = document.getElementsByClassName('modal-backdrop')[0]) {
someNode.parentNode.removeChild(someNode);
}
