I went through the "5 min Quickstart". With typescript already installed (npm install -g typescript)
On running "npm start" I had some error messages. Some steps were missing. npm install --save @angular/core @angular/compiler @angular/common @angular/platform-browser @angular/router @angular/platform-browser-dynamic [email protected] [email protected] npm install -g typings typings install Now "npm start" ran fine.
