Hi Harry, This is a JS issue. you are having an issue with a wrong 'this'.
try again, after changing this: setInterval(this.readAgain, 1000); // called in ngOnInit() to this: setInterval(() =>this.readAgain(), 1000); // called in ngOnInit() I also suspect that you ming need to hardbind some of your methods.
