Does anyone know a good Angular way to add emojis to a textara element? I'm using Emoji Mart as my emoji picker and I'm trying to add emojis to a textarea after an emoji is selected. I can sort-of-kind-of get it to work, but not completely. I've tried quite a few things and I don't want to list them all here. Emoji Mart has a custom html element that can be used to render the emojis: <ngx-emoji emoji=''></ngx-emoji> But unfortunately they don't have a custom pipe for this that would allow me to bind the codepoint or emoji name. Since I'm inserting the emoji into a textarea I don't know how I can work with that.
If someone can point me in the right direction I will be exceedingly greatful.
