It seems to me that we ought to use the ODE (Open Dynamics Engine). That requires C++, so we would have to add that to our set of languages. But that should be OK since many of our group are familiar with it. I have even worked with it a bit myself, although I don't know it very well. I wrote the original Robot Auto Racing Simulation with Borland C++ for DOS.
