It seems to me that we ought to use the ODE (Open Dynamics Engine).  
That requires C++, so we would have to add that to our set of 
languages.  But that should be OK since many of our group are familiar 
with it.  I have even worked with it a bit myself, although I don't know 
it very well.   I wrote the original Robot Auto Racing Simulation with 
Borland C++ for DOS.

So perhaps some of you could start getting familiar with the ODE, and 
let me know exactly what you need from me in order to implement my 
sketch in ODE.
