We are pleased to announce that we have now opened our e-voting platform for a wide member test. The online voting process was earlier postponed in order to allow the system to be further interrogated by the community before using it for real Board elections.
Although a lot of time and effort has already gone into AFRINIC's endeavour to integrate the e-voting system into MyAFRINIC, there is need to subject it to further tests to ensure it was well understood, sufficiently transparent and secure to be used in all confidence. The system is now released in our member portal http://my.afrinic.netfor a wide-scale test. Please take time to look through the e-voting document and participate in the test to ensure the system works, and that it can contribute to making the election process transparent and effective. You can look at the announcement on the online voting at http://www.afrinic.net/index.php/en/library/news-publications.
