Dear Colleagues,

The second IPv6 Webinar of 2013 will take place on the 6 of June 2013 – a year after the successful world IPv6 Launch that took place on 6 June 2012. This Webinar titled ‘IPv6 in the Real World’ will address issues of adoption and adaption of IPv6 as part of taking stock of the global state of IPv6 use since the global IPv6 launch.

The session will examine the case studies of two large and experienced network operators on the continent and how they use IPv6 in their networks as well as the global state of IPv6 use since the global IPv6 launch.

Liquid Telecom, one of the largest fibre networks on the continent, and Orange Uganda will offer insights into the deployment of IPv6 in their networks.

ISOC's Deploy360 will also make a presentation on the global state of IPv6 use since the global IPv6 launch.

The IPv6 Webinars seek to assist African operators with their IPv6 adoption and deployment plans through sharing of experiences and best practices.

This is the second webinar this year. The first was held on 22 April 2013. More webinars are planned during the year. These will be announced in various mailing lists in the coming months.
