AFRINIC-21

AFRINIC-21 Registration

Please note that registration for AFRINIC-21 will be closed on 14 November 2014. If you have not yet registered for the Meeting please follow the following steps:

1. You can register online at: meeting.afrinic.net/afrinic-21/en/attend/register 2. Choose between the following options: "Log in", "Request new password" or "Create an account" 3. Upon successful login, you will see the "Your AFRINIC-21 Registration Details" page. Please fill in the requested information. 4. If you are traveling from abroad, also request an official AFRINIC-21 invitation letter via this page (Section 3). 5. You will receive a confirmation message on your browser and a link to download a PDF version of your invitation letter.

Visas on Arrival

Most African countries will be able to acquire a visa free of charge at arrival, however there are exceptions. We urge all delegates traveling to Mauritius to consult the list of countries to check whether they require a visa prior to arrival in Mauritius at: https://passport.gov.mu/English/Passport%20and%20Visa%20Requirement%20in%20Mauritius/Pages/Visa-Requirements-in-Mauritius.aspx

Delegates from the following African countries will need a visa PRIOR to traveling to Mauritius: Libya, Mali, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan.

Kindly note that delegates traveling from the above-mentioned countries to Mauritius are requested to apply for a visa in advance.

General Health and Ebola Advisory

Participants coming from Africa will be subject as is customary to routine health checks for Malaria and other infectious diseases.

We urge delegates to properly fill the health form given on the flight or at the airport with their hotel address and phone contact.

Travelers who have been to the following Ebola affected countries within two months prior to their arrival to Mauritius will not be allowed entry in Mauritius: Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and DRC.

Nationals and passport holders of Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, and DRC who have NOT been residing in their respective countries for the past two months (at least) and wish to travel to Mauritius can contact the AFRINIC-21 Organising Committee. An official letter to the Passport and Immigration Office in Mauritius will be required to this effect. Should you require this letter, please contact the AFRINIC Organising Committee at least 7 days prior your scheduled arrival date in Mauritius at 'Contact Us' on the main page of our AFRINIC-21 website (http://meeting.afrinic.net/afrinic-21/en/).

Hotels Reservations

AFRINIC delegates will be responsible for making their own arrangements for hotel bookings and hotel transfers. Hotel reservations can be made by using the booking forms available at: meeting.afrinic.net/afrinic-21/en/travel/accomodation

Delegates using the booking forms will benefit from a preferential rate for AFRINIC-21 participants.

Should the the Hennessy Park Hotel be fully booked kindly proceed with booking your accommodations at the Voila Hotel Bagatelle (5 mins from Hennessy), le Suffren and the Labourdonnais (15 mins from Hennessy). Free shuttle service will be offered twice a day from the Suffren and the Labourdonnais hotels to the Hennessy Hotel.
