Dear Colleagues,
AFRINIC is offering fellowships for the AFRINIC-29 meeting to be held in
Tunisia from 26 November to 30 November 2018. The fellowship is reserved for
individuals representing small organisations, universities, and media who are
actively involved in Internet operations and development or ICT policies in
their countries.The fellow is expected to positively and actively contribute to
IP address management awareness in the AFRINIC service region.
To qualify for the fellowship, you:
1) Must be a resident of an African nation
2) Don't need to be an AFRINIC member
3) Are involved in the Internet community
4) Are willing to report on how this fellowship has benefited you/your
Organisation/country within an agreed time frame.
Upon selection, AFRINIC will notify the selected fellows directly and allow
them twenty (20) days to accept or reject the offer.
A public announcement of the fellowship awardees will be made after the
acceptance by the selected candidates.
Please find hereafter the schedule for the fellowship process:
Close of applications: 24 August 2018
Notification to selected fellows: 14 September 2018
Deadline for acceptance by awarded fellow: 26 September 2018
Final announcement and publication of the fellowship list: 01 October 2018
The fellowship includes:
1. Full assistance with round-trip airfare to the meeting venue
2. Hotel accommodation for the AFRINIC event from the day before the beginning
to the last day of the event

AFRINIC offre un support financier pendant la réunion AFRINIC-29 qui aura lieu
en Tunisie du 26 novembre au 30 novembre 2018. L'aide apportée est réservée
aux personnes représentant une petite organisation, universitaires, ou les
media qui sont activement impliqués dans le fonctionnement de l'Internet et de
son développement, aussi bien que les politiques des TIC dans leur propres
pays. AFRINIC s'attend à ce que le fellow participe activement à l'avancement
en matière de gestion des Ressources IP à travers l'Afrique.
Pour être éligible au support financier "Fellowship" vous devriez :
1) Habiter en Afrique.
2) Etre un Membre d'AFRINIC n'est pas obligatoire
3) Etre une membre actif de la communauté Internet
4) Etre disposés à faire rapport sur les avantages de cette bourse pour vous,
votre Organisation et votre pays dans un délai convenu
Après la sélection, AFRINIC informera les Fellows choisis qui auront un délai
de vingt (20) jours pour accepter ou decliner l'offre. Une annonce publique
sera faite une fois que les Fellows auront accepté l'offre.
Dates à retenir:
Fermeture des applications au Fellowship : 24 aout 2018
Courrier aux Fellows selectionnés : 14 septembre 2018
Date butoire pour l'acceptation de la proposition de Fellows: 26 septembre 2018
Annonce finale de la publication de la liste des Fellows : 01 octobre 2018
Le programme du Fellowship comporte:
1). L'achat d'un billet d'avion aller-retour à la réunion d'AFRINIC.
2). Une réservation de la chambre d'hotel (Lit et petit déjeuner) de la veille
de l'événement jusqu'a la fin.
