This communication provides an important update regarding the AFRINIC election
process.
Following the annulment of the previous election, the Receiver presented the
underlying facts and concerns to the Supreme Court of Mauritius that
necessitated this action. Concurrently, the Receiver petitioned the Court for
an extension to the period allotted for holding new elections.
The Supreme Court of Mauritius, having reviewed the submitted information, has
granted an exceptional extension. The new deadline for conducting the election
process and reconstituting the AFRINIC Board is now 30 September 2025.
