Dear Esteemed Community Members,
The NomCom would like to express its sincere appreciation to every member of
the community for your strong response and interest in the recent call for
candidates for the AFRINIC Board of Directors.
The call for candidates officially closed on Tuesday, 2nd September, 2025 with
29 valid submissions received.
Since the opening of the call, the NomCom has been carefully evaluating all
submissions. Together with the election committee, we are verifying that each
nominee is supported by at least two different community members, that each
nominator and seconder is of good standing, registered before 19 September
2023, and that the regional criteria are met.
In addition, all nominees who meet both the minimum eligibility requirements as
well as the specific eligibility criteria are undergoing due diligence and
background checks. The final slate of candidates will be published once all
background checks are completed.
We thank you once again for your continued support. An update regarding the
publication of the final slate of candidates will be shared early next week.
