Policy Development Working Group Election

As only the above-named candidates have been found eligible to stand for
election in accordance with the applicable Election Guidelines, there shall be
no contested election for the community-elected AFRINIC representatives to the
NRO NC/ ASO AC. Accordingly, pursuant to established electoral rules, the
above-named candidates shall be deemed elected unopposed. However, subject to
section 6.2.9 of the Election Guidelines, the election shall nevertheless
proceed for the purpose of determining the duration of each successful
candidate’s term of office, which shall be allocated according to the number of
valid votes cast in favour of each candidate.
In respect of the PDWG Co-Chairs position, only one candidate has been found
eligible to stand for appointment. Accordingly, the appointment shall be
considered by the Policy Development Working Group (PDWG) during the upcoming
AFRINIC Public Policy Meeting.

Au nom du NomCom 2026, AFRINIC a le plaisir d'annoncer la liste définitive des
candidats retenus pour les sièges à pourvoir au sein du Comité de gouvernance,
du Conseil des numéros de l'Organisation des ressources numériques / Conseil
des adresses de l'Organisation de soutien aux adresses (NRO NC / ASO AC), ainsi
que pour les élections du Groupe de travail sur l'élaboration des politiques
(PDWG) :

Étant donné que seuls les candidats susmentionnés ont été jugés éligibles à se
présenter à l’élection, conformément aux directives électorales applicables, il
n’y aura pas d’élection contestée pour les représentants d’AFRINIC élus par la
communauté au NRO NC / ASO AC.
En conséquence, conformément aux règles électorales établies, les candidats
susmentionnés seront réputés élus sans opposition.
Toutefois, sous réserve de la section 6.2.9 des directives électorales,
l’élection se tiendra néanmoins afin de déterminer la durée du mandat de chaque
candidat élu, laquelle sera attribuée en fonction du nombre de votes valides
exprimés en faveur de chaque candidat.
En ce qui concerne le poste de coprésidents du PDWG, un seul candidat a été
jugé éligible à la nomination.
En conséquence, cette nomination sera examinée par le Groupe de travail sur
l’élaboration des politiques, ou PDWG, lors de la prochaine réunion publique
sur les politiques d’AFRINIC.
