The Apache YuniKorn community is pleased to announce the general availability of Apache YuniKorn v1.6.0
Apache YuniKorn is a standalone resource scheduler responsible for scheduling batch jobs and long-running services on large scale distributed systems running in on-premises environments as well as different public clouds. This release is a combination of new features and bug fixes. Static code analysis and lint tools were used to improve code quality. Support for Kubernetes 1.30 and 1.31 has been added. Noteworthy incompatible changes included in this release: - Deprecation of the plugin mode has been announced. - The state-aware scheduling option was removed as per the deprecation announcement in YuniKorn 1.5.0 - Fair scheduling algorithm has been fixed which triggers some minor behavioural changes during normal scheduling.
