Hi all, The Apache Pinot team is pleased to announce the release of Apache Pinot 1.6.0.
Apache Pinot is a distributed OLAP datastore designed for low-latency analytics. This release adds SQL DDL and materialized-view support, GROUPING SETS/ROLLUP/CUBE, new vector-index backends, and ingestion, query, and reliability improvements. Pinot services now require Java 25 or newer. Java/JDBC clients and explicitly targeted SPI/common artifacts remain Java 11-compatible. Please review the upgrade notes, removals, and SMART aggregation mixed-version restrictions before upgrading.
