Event: In Remembrance: 16th Anniversary of the Davidian Massacre Description: On this day in 1993, the federal government mounted an armored assault against a Seventh Day Adventist Church splinter group known as the Branch Davidians, in Waco, TX, after a standoff that began with an initial assault on February 29, 1993. The armored assault ultimately resulted in the fiery deaths of 76 men, women, and children.
