LPVA Members, I look forward to seeing everyone this weekend at the State Convention. Dr. Lark has put together a great event! We will be electing officers for the next two years at the convention. Feel free to contact the current officers if you are interested in running. We would be glad to give you information concerning our current positions. I will not be running for reelection as chair. The other officers have not told me of their intentions.
Please note the following two items: Anyone interested in being a delegate to the national convention in May needs to let one of the officers know so that they can be added to the list to be elected at the convention. You can be elected as a delegate or as an alternate. We are planning to have a Texas Hold-em fund raiser on Friday night if there is enough interest and we can find a suitable place to hold it. The buy-in would be $50 and ½ of the money would go to the LPVA and the rest would be split to the top three places 50/30/20. Ten players would be needed to have the game. If we have less and the players agree we would start with 10 places and allow buy-ins for part of the tournament.
