VIRGINIA NEWS: LPVA BALLOT ACCESS LAWSUIT: We Lost Round 1; Now We're Aiming for Round 2 ================================================ Those of you who have followed Old Dominion Liberty Letter this year may remember our articles about a ballot access lawsuit filed regarding Matt Mosley's campaign in Northern Virginia: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00214.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00224.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg00226.html Mosley's challenge was similar to another case known as the Lux case. Regretfully, injunctive relief was denied for both cases; and as a result, Matt was denied ballot status. However, we are not prohibited from seeking a court ruling to overturn the law. At its October 2 meeting, the State Central Committee decided that it would be desireable to continue seeking the desired change in the law, so the lawsuit continues. http://www.ballot-access.org/2010/09/30/u-s-supreme-court-denies-lux-application-says-law-on-circulator-residency-is-still-unsettled/ We will be sending you a letter about the continuing legal challenge shortly -- please help with a donation if you are able.
