Date: Monday, February 21, 2011 Time: 8:00:00 AM Event: Libertarian Leadership Day Description: The LPVa recognizes as a "Libertarian Leader" one outstanding Libertarian activist as part of its celebration of Libertarian Leadership Day, which takes place on the third Monday of each February.
The State Central Committee typically selects the nominee at the first meeting of each year. If you would like to nominate an outstanding activist for this recognition, please contact the Secretary and ask to have the person's name added to the Agenda for the appropriate meeting. Please include a brief, one or two-paragraph "activist resume" and perhaps a statement telling us why your nominee deserves to be officially recognized. "Libertarian Leadership Day" was designated by the state committee at its Sunday, January 18, 2004. The inaugural "Libertarian Leader" was Ron Crickenberger, who at the time was suffering from terminal cancer.
