You may have seen the reminder about the upcoming LPVA state committee ("SCC")
meeting posted to this list a few days ago, but in case not...
The next meeting of the Libertarian Party of Virginia's SCC will take place
tomorrow, Saturday, July 23, 2011, 1:00 p.m. (@ 11:30 please join us for lunch).

We will be in the small meeting room. By the way, in addition to traditional
Asian fare on the buffet, this place has a hibachi where you select the fresh
ingredients, hand the plate to the cook, and he cooks it right there on the
spot. Great for those of you who prefer vegetarian, or all-meat, or...
I'd like to encourage all of our members in the area to at least join us for
lunch, even if you have no desire to stay for the meeting. We love getting to
meet our fellow Libertarians from around the state! LPVA members who are not
members of the State Committee are always welcome to attend. Those who are
*not* yet members now may join prior to the meeting and sit in. Print out this

If any NON-SCC members of the LP wish to have one or more motions of their own
considered by the SCC, please send those directly to me
<mailto:[email protected]?Subject=Motion_For_SCC> and I will introduce it at
the meeting myself, as long as it doesn't appear to me to be injurious to the
LPVA or the LP. For instance, if you chair a local LP and wish to request
money for a special outreach project in your area, that would be perfectly
appropriate. Motions to impeach the Secretary are of course always welcome.
But in any case plan to either show up at the meeting to speak for your motion,
or when you send it to me, include a paragraph in support that can be read out
loud in under two minutes, as well as any supporting material you wish
considered.
