Dear LPVA members and friends:

Below is a message from LPVA member Jason Amatucci, who is Executive Director
of the Virginia Industrial Hemp Coalition. While the LPVA has not taken a
formal position on this issue, this is certainly legislation that libertarians
can support.

LPVA Chairman

Dear Friends of the Virginia Industrial Hemp Coalition,

Our journey to Richmond has been a long and winding trail filled with hard

Hemp on Martin Luther King Day certainly made an indelible impact on educating
and advocating our noble cause to the members of the Virginia General Assembly.

Our voices were many and they were varied, and we came from many parts across
the Commonwealth with some volunteers even driving in from out of state in an
effort to tell our legislators it's time to

We arrived Monday with just twelve co-sponsors supporting House Bill #1277, and
we left Richmond on Wednesday with now

not been made in vain.

There were more Virginia House Delegates, Senators, and legislative staff than
could be counted that remarked on how well our Coalition members have acted in
getting our message to date, but we cannot stop the momentum now. Now remains

details arrive daily, but we do urge you to keep a close eye on the bill's
