Dear Libertarian Colleagues, The campaigns this year have inspired many people to contact the Libertarian Party seeking more information.
In fact there have been so many that they've been very hard to keep up with -- which is why we need YOU. Would you like to help us contact new libertarians by phone, engage in conversation with them about the Libertarian Party, and invite them to join the LP right then over the phone? If you like talking about libertarianism, and would like to help welcome new libertarians and get them signed up as donating members, please get in touch with me as soon as possible. Here is a brief summary of the job: 1) Call each new inquiry as soon as possible after receiving notice from the state LP. The closer you get your response time down to **minutes**, the greater the percentage of people who will join right away when you call them. 2) After establishing a verbal rapport for a few minutes, invite them to support their party by joining. 3) For those who agree to join, pull up the webpage http://Join.LPVA.com or have a few of the print applications from http://Membership.LPVA.com on your desk ready to write on, and walk the constituent through the form as YOU fill it out with their information. If YOU don't do it directly, and hang up with an exhortation for them to do it themselves, some of them will put it off -- and many of them will forget. We don't have so many prospects that we can afford to let them just drift away! 4) Once you complete the form, save the address information and follow-up your conversation with a nice PRINTED letter (use a commemorative stamp!!) thanking them for their time and reminding them about maybe one or two of the things you discussed with them while on the phone, and throw your own business card and a couple of Quiz cards with it. 5) Periodically (once a month) generate a report of new members you recruited to the state committee.
