FISPA (Federated Internet Service Providers' Association) and WISPA are
teaming up this spring to hold a Spring Conference in Orlando, Florida the
week of March 21st. The exact dates and hotel venue are currently being
resolved. Our goal is to start on March 22nd (Tuesday) with 3 (3 hour
workshops) covering CLEC Strategies, Turning Wireless Magic in to Wireless
Science and a VoIP & Hosted PBX Workshop. These workshops are extra items
that need to be purchased for $40/workshop. They will start at 3 pm and end
at 6 pm. A "Meet and Greet" reception will follow these workshops for a few
hours.

On Wednesday, March 23rd, the main conference will begin and will run
throughout Wednesday and Thursday. A tentative agenda has been posted on
the registration site as it was for the 2010 Summer Regional Meeting. Jim
Hollis (Executive Director of FISPA) and our teams will be making changes
and updates to this agenda as it is developed.

Although, I don't like to publish the event before we have a hotel venue and
the dates locked down, we decided that we should get the word out now so
that people can begin making plans to attend. We should have the venue and
dates confirmed in the next week or so.

I am looking for volunteers to help with the agenda and anyone who would
like to speak on a particular topic, either by themselves or part of a
panel, please let me know as soon as possible.

The CTIA conference is also in Orlando this same week and Jim is going to
see if he can get some passes from the CTIA for the show floor. More on
that later as it develops.

This event should be a great opportunity for WISPs to learn more about
hardline (DSL, fiber and dedicated circuits) strategies, while FISPA members
can also benefit from the wide range of wireless topics that will be
presented. We believe there are excellent synergies between our two trade
associations that our members can benefit from. It will also be an
excellent opportunity for our vendor members to expand their reach to
different industry segments they otherwise would not necessarily reach.

In today's dynamic broadband industry, it is imperative that managers keep
up to date on the latest technologies available. We will do our best to
prepare a program that adapts to this philosophy and educates the
participants as efficiently as possible.

If you are not currently a member of FISPA or WISPA, this event is a good
opportunity to join at discounted prices available when ordering tickets.

Remember, these dates are tentative at this early date but all attempts are
being made to make it during the week of the 21st of March.

The Registration site can be viewed at
http://fispawispaspring2011.eventbrite.com/.

There are many sponsorship opportunities for vendors as well. There will be
a separate website for vendors to partake in these opportunities. Any
vendors wishing to become involved before the vendor notification email is
sent out; please contact myself <mailto:[email protected]> or Jim Hollis
<mailto:[email protected]> .

Respectively
