This is a reminder that Ansible Core 2.2 will be in feature freeze on 05 SEPTEMBER 2016. All Ansible Core features must be frozen, and testing begins at that time. For modules all major features (parameter changes, etc), must be frozen. We will accept minor feature changes to modules if there is time for the core team to review it. This will happen on a case by case basis, so, while you’re better off freezing your feature set by the fifth, we will still try to review as many as possible. On 16 SEPTEMBER 2016 Ansible Core and Modules will be totally feature frozen for testing before we release our first 2.2 Release Candidate on 03 OCTOBER 2016. ONLY bug-fixes will be accepted for inclusion for 2.2 Release Candidate 1 after the 16th of September.
