I ran into an issue where, at the end of GATHERING FACTS, ansible-playbook 
just sits there.  I'd added -v's until I had -vvvv and that didn't tell me 
anything, until i got distracted and left it running for several minutes. 
 Suddenly it sprang back to life.  Scrolling back, it was hung on:

fatal: [nightfury] => SSH Error: Shared connection to nightfury closed.
It is sometimes useful to re-run the command using -vvvv, which prints SSH 
debug output to help diagnose the issue.

I'll have to look at that host and figure out what the "fatal" problem is. 
 But why is ansible just sitting and waiting and waiting and waiting, 
rather than just giving up, like it does when it realizes a given host is 
down?
