assertions

I have been playing with the Java task and have implemented a couple of different approaches for enabling 1.4 assertions at runtime (aside from using jvmarg).  Are there any efforts already underway that relate to this?  I have not found anything in the dev mailing list archives.  I found some mention of this in bug 3045, but it isn't clear to me what, if anything, is being done with the Java task.   Thanks.       Jeff -- Jeff Brown Senior Software Engineer Object Computing Inc. http://www.ociweb.com/
