Actually that is not the point. I can easily get away with the current problem 
by setting <apply parallel=true> in which case there will only be one JVM call. 
I am sure we can have an alternative solution for every problem, but I thought 
that it would be a nice feature to have, specially when it is was so easy to do 
in MAKE.  I have encountered this problem many times in the past but in 
different circumstances. Similar problem exists for xslt compilers, or even 
some 
home grown java applications which take data in one form and generate the 
output 
in other form.
