looks like the change I made to the compiler yesterday hasnt trickled into
gump yet:

I think maybe GUMP is using 1.6alpha, not 1.5beta; correct Sam?
Also, dist-ant is failing w/ timeout

A successful build on 1.3 takes 15 minutes, the timeout is - I think- 20
min. The possible cause here is that javadoc is taking longer than before,
so we are toppling over the limit. ouch.
