I would very much like to see the API doc somewhere online, preferably at the Jakarta site, but alternatively somewhere else. As Ernst points out, one can then link to it from Javadoc, and also in communications like emails, notably on ant-dev, where people can then be pointed to the actual Javadoc of the class to use, for example, instead of just its name.
