Agreed.  I just try to be complete.  I'm petty like that and think of 
things like XDoclet as a "unit".  I'll remove the unneeded stuff though 
to save space.

AFAICT, the only jars needed should be:
  - commons-logging
  - commons-collections
  - log4j
  - xdoclet
  - xdoclet-apache-module (assuming that contains the Ant stuff)
  - xdoclet-xjavadoc
Yup, the Ant stuff is in the apache module.  And I believe you are 
right that only those are needed for this purpose.
