Is there anything wrong with slipping from time to time? Isn't the very nature of an open source effort like this one, that you - the expert - need not to test exhaustively and that interested other parties (e.g. me) will (randomly) take over that testing part and report a bug if incompliance occurred? Isn't this "efficiency" the "secret sauce" of the open source movement?
