How to use optional tasks of ant1.3

Hi,

I need help regarding how to use optional tasks
mainly <script> of ant.
Keeping the optional.jar file in classpath didn't worked
out. Is there any other stuff tobe done.

Does the script task will work out for "perl"  scripts???
