Jason, For your own custom tasks and even some of Ant's optional tasks, it is OK to use List, etc. The limitation to using 1.1 applies mainly to the Ant core, core tasks and tasks which we want to make available to 1.1 users. <ejbjar>, for example, does not need to avoid 1.2 classes since the J2EE spec requires 1.2 anyway. So, for your own tasks, it is up to you whether you support 1.1 users or not. Conor
