I have to live close to the cutting edge in order to support some of the new 1.4 JVM features (like assert). My point was that this functionality will make it into the next release of jikes, (and I am using a CVS snapshot of both ant and jikes) it would be nice if ant was proactive and accounted for this known enhencement in jikes.
Along the same lines although the new tags arguments for javadoc have made it into ant, the source command has not. (This is a released version of javadoc.) The deltas to the code to support these are fairly insignificant. However they haven't yet made it into the source tree. I have already posted a delta to this in the developers mailing group (see bug id 7002 under bugzilla) Anurag ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Loughran" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Ant Users List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, March 11, 2002 12:19 AM Subject: Re: Use of source argument for javac with jikes. > > Is this a version of jikes that has actually been released? > > I suppose we could just assume the source option is there because of assert > statements, and if the user sets source= "something" then they know what > they are doing > > > -- > To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
