Saturday September 15, 11:10 AM US House adopts resolution on use of force WASHINGTON, Sept 14 (AFP) - The US House of Representatives late Friday overwhelmingly approved a resolution authorizing the president to use force against those responsible for terrorist attacks on US soil. The US Senate passed a similar measure unanimously earlier in the day. The resolutions give George W. Bush authority to use all necessary and appropriate force against those who were in any way responsible for Tuesday's attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon building in Washington.
